Bilingual Customer Service Rep $19.00

Location: Moreno Valley CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift flex for OT and one weekend per month On Call

 

Overview of Position:

Customer Service Representatives provide customer service and assistance with regard to utility services both in person and by telephone. This includes preparing service orders to have electric service placed in a customer’s name turning service off explaining credit and collections policies making payment arrangements and receiving and returning trouble calls. This position requires strong communication skills a knowledge of utility services and programs an ability to work with numbers and accurate data entry skills.

 

Job Duties

Work with customers regarding past due utility accounts and accounts receivable invoices

Make payment arrangements and follow up as necessary.

Enter and update payment arrangements in the Customer Information System.

Research and communicate with customers regarding previously unpaid utility bills.

Prepare service orders for disconnection and reconnection of services as required.

Clearly communicate and apply the Client Utility's credit and collection policies.

Perform work with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Work with community agencies that offer financial assistance to customers for payment of utility bills.

Research and respond to bill complaints from customers.

Train other Customer Service Representatives in credit and collection job functions as directed.

Provide coverage for Call Center as required.

Prepare statistical information as required for collection activities including quarterly aged reports.

 

Requirements of This Position

Bilingual Spanish REQUIRED with fluency in both reading and writing!

Reliable highspeed internet connection via ethernet not Wi-Fi dedicated quiet workspace.

Computer with two monitors NO Chromebooks iPads or notebooks

USB headset that connects to their computer

Three years’ experience in credit and collections customer service

Ability to perform arithmetical calculations and compose business letters.

General knowledge of bill collection procedures and accounting principles.

Accurate data entry MS Office spreadsheet and database experience required.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Background Check Required.
