Industrial Painter/Sand Blaster $19-$22 DOE

Location: Hemet CA

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 4.30pm 4/10 schedule

Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Painter for blasting spraying and coating metal. Work is conducted in a Manufacturing environment – this is NOT a residential painting position.

Knowledge of paints methods of application and how to prep and mask surfaces is required.

This position requires a Respirator full face and a blasting hood. This is industrial sand blasting and coating.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Measures area to be painted; determines quantity and type of paint to use for the project.

• Identifies and orders appropriate paint colors and finishes mixing if needed.

• Prepares surfaces to be painted removing prior finishes through chemicals grit blast or other methods.

• Masks removes covers or otherwise protects other nonpainted surfaces.

• Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes rollers sprayers airbrushes stencils and other tools.

• Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.

• Builds scaffolding according to safety regulations.

• Maintains a clean work area.

• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisors.

Skills and Experience Required

• Industrial Painting experience required – this job operates in a manufacturing environment.

• Completion of apprenticeship program or on-the-job training preferred

• Knowledge of different kinds of paints methods of application.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

• Ability to read instructions and work consistently.

• Able to use MS Office Suite.

• Drug Screen and Background check required.
