Fab Operator – Semiconductor Manufacturing

Location: Temecula CA

Pay Rate: $20.00/Hour Temp to Hire opportunities

Shifts: Flexible to work either First Second or Third Shift Overtime and Saturdays

 

Overview:

 

We are seeking Fab Operators who will execute wafer fabrication operations under the direction of production supervision. This role involves operating manufacturing tools following process flows ensuring cleanliness and safety monitoring equipment parameters handling wafers and materials documenting operations and assisting in continuous improvement efforts. This role often operates in a shift-based and cleanroom environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate and monitor semiconductor fabrication tools within process modules (such as PVD CVD Etch Photolithography CMP wafer bonding) and execute process flows accurately.

  • Load/unload wafers inspect for defects stage and transport wafers between process steps ensuring proper handling and traceability.

  • Follow clean-room gowning contamination control safety and chemical handling procedures strictly.

  • Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) work instructions and manufacturing process recipes.

  • Monitor tool performance: observe key process parameters handle alarms log tool data and assist with basic troubleshooting or escalate issues to technicians/engineers.

  • Document process data non-conformances wafer yields scrap and perform data entry in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or other tracking tools.

  • Assist in tool change-overs chamber cleanings preventative maintenance activities as needed often working with technicians.

  • Maintain a clean organized work area: ensure consumables materials and tooling are available properly labeled and handled.

  • Work shifts (often 12-hour rotating shifts or night shifts) in a clean-room environment.

  • Standing/walking for extended periods and handling of wafers or parts that may weigh up to 8+ lbs and may required lifting up to 50 lbs.

 

Required Qualifications / Skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED minimum.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions read process flows and use measurement tools.

  • Basic mechanical/electrical aptitude is desired.

  • Strong interest in semiconductor manufacturing willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and to learn on the job.

  • Strong communication skills ability to work in a team environment and follow direction.

  • Willingness to work shifts (including nights weekends holiday rotations) and be flexible.

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods lift or handle parts/materials and work in a controlled clean-room environment with PPE.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  •  

  • Prior experience in semiconductor / microelectronics fabrication wafer handling or clean-room operations.

  • Familiarity with process modules such as PVD CVD Etch Photolithography CMP or packaging operations.

  • Basic data entry or MES experience basic knowledge of process control.

  • Demonstrated reliability attention to detail quality-mindset and follow procedure.
