Receiving Clerk IV

Location: Murrieta CA

Shift: Monday to Friday 5.00am to 3.30pm flex for OT and occasional Saturdays

Pay Rate: $21-$27 DOE

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

 

  • Inspect product at receiving and incoming inspection from suppliers specifically raw material and custom engineered parts using applicable measuring tools and test equipment.

  • Able to match supplier packing slip with correct product quantity.

  • Prioritizes which inspections to perform based upon PO workload and job priorities.

  • Requires knowledge of inspection procedures and processes in a manufacturing environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge of inspection concepts and principles including the ability to read and understand engineering drawings specifications procedures and manuals.

  • Utilizes various inspection tool such as Calipers Thread gauges etc. to check dimensions / processes on parts or raw material to ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings/blueprints/specifications.

  • Performs Mechanical visual and dimensional inspections of parts using inspection hand tools.

  • Communicates with QC Manager & internal Buyers on quality issues

  • Works Closely with Quality Inspectors project Engineering Purchasing and Manufacturing.

  • Responsible for maintaining inspection logs and audit production documents including generating and tracking of Non-Conformance Reports.

  • Interprets production Work Orders and list of materials using drawings to complete Work Order Kitting.

  • Able to use POWER equipment to safely unload material and sperate freight by supplier and/or product type

  • Lead team of receiving personnel

  • Contributes to continuous improvement projects for the Receiving Inspection Team.

  • Ensure accuracy of all related paperwork is completed

  • Participate quarterly and annual inventory counts

  • Communicates professionally with manufacturing team office personnel vendors truck drivers etc.

  • Computer skills is required use in-house ERP/MRP system to receive parts into inventory and provide accurate routing to next demanded location (inventory next work order job shelf)

  • Undertake additional responsibilities or activities as required by the Department Manager.

 

Skills and Experience Required

 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • This would require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with various materials and/or tools as well as work and bend at different heights in various temperatures and be on feet for an extended period of time.

  • 5 year of heavy manufacturing/fabrication experience is preferred.

  • 5 years of experience performing quality inspections of raw materials.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in creating shipping and receiving documentation.

  • Minimum 5 years of Inventory Control

  • Working knowledge of ASME Section II Part A/B raw materials and fittings

  • A good understanding of basic mathematics.

  • Read and interpret drawings/blueprints/material test reports.

  • Forklift driver 3-5 years experience.

  • Experienced Overhead Crane operator (10 Ton preferred)

  • 5 years experience in basic quality control system and calibration.

  • General Inspection knowledge and methodology

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and able to manipulate documents using Adobe Acrobat.

  • Read write and communicate proficiently in English. Bilingual preferred but not required.

  • Drug Screen and Background Check required
